LIGHT BOX HOUSE 1997
Sag harbor,ny

PROGRAM:
A renovation to a house facing picturesque view over water.  The single vista to water was focused, leaving rigidly enclosed spaces.
Owner wished to add upper floor without disturbing the continuous use on the first floor.

We thought we need to punch holes on the back to release the tightness.  Instead of punching windows, which may bring ordinary neighbor views, light boxes generate diffused lights were attached on the roof.  The Light Boxes exhibit ever changing colors of sky to corners of the upper floor rooms.
