Cabinets transform between Silent and Active Modes

BOX SPACE 1996

"Box Space" explores the relationship between two modes: "object" and "background."

When the cabinet is closed, it becomes quietly part of the building: walls, partitions, counters, or steps. When the same cabinet is opened, it starts to be expressive. It reveals its inner space, transforms the use and form, and becomes independent object.
